The second part of the exhibition – the Gallery – offers a very different experience from the Bazaar. Here, visitors can quietly reflect on some of the Hutsul-themed art collection Leonard Krawchuk has assembled. These 20 works represent only a portion of Leonard’s visual art collection, but it’s easy to see that these pieces depicting life in the Carpathians are his favourites. The paintings are large and vividly coloured, illustrating weddings, religious celebrations, and other important events. They include oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, burlap, and wood, as well as linocuts.
