ENRICHMENT

Learning at the Museum

Cultural understanding begins with learning, and the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Ontario Branch is committed to providing diverse programs that engage and enrich visitors of all ages. Through engaging resources, programming, and research materials, the Museum offers several opportunities to connect with Ukrainian and Ukrainian Canadian heritage.

education

Guided tours are available for groups of all grade levels and can be tailored to align with specific curriculum goals. Group visits can be scheduled throughout the academic year, and special accommodations are available for large groups. Tours can include hands-on activities to enrich the learning experience. Advanced reservations are required for all school and group tours.

The Museum also develops educational materials to complement its exhibitions and support classroom learning. These cross-curricular teaching resources connect to literature, social studies, critical thinking, and art, and are adaptable for a range of learning levels. Resources can be provided upon request.

Programming

The Museum offers ongoing workshops and lectures that engage visitors with a range of cultural and educational topics. In addition, each exhibition is supported by ancillary programming designed to amplify and enrich the visitor experience. The Museum often collaborates with St. Volodymyr Institute and diverse community organizations to present learning opportunities for the public.

Guest SPEAKERs

On occasion, the Museum hosts guest speakers who present on a variety of topics related to our exhibitions, as well as broader themes in Ukrainian culture, history, and contemporary issues. These presentations offer visitors unique insights and opportunities to engage directly with experts, artists, historians, and community leaders. Guest speaker events are open to the public and often include Q&A sessions to encourage meaningful dialogue and deeper understanding.
