Are you curious about the inner workings of a museum?
Are you interested in Canada’s Ukrainian heritage?
Are you looking to enrich your life within a collegial, creative setting?
We welcome volunteers who assist in many ways – by helping develop or install exhibitions, assisting with collection documentation and care, hosting school and community groups, helping with fundraising, communications and special events, and participating in outreach and public education projects, to name a few. In addition, our workshop group produces handcrafted items for sale in the Museum Gift Shop.
Our core volunteers meet on Thursdays to assess newly acquired artefacts, maintain the existing collections, and enjoy the fellowship of shared interests. New volunteers are always welcome to join in, contribute their talents and ideas, and learn new skills.
You don’t need experience to be a valuable volunteer, nor do you need to speak Ukrainian, be available on Thursdays, or even be of Ukrainian descent. We do our best to match the interests of volunteers with the activities that are part of ongoing museum operations, and we provide training where needed.
If you are interested in volunteering – a little or a lot – please contact us at 416-923-9861 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Summer Employment / Internships
Summer students play an important role at the Museum. We are grateful to the Government of Canada, Department of Canadian Heritage through the Young Canada Works Building Careers in Heritage Program, for funding that allows us to offer hands-on summer employment opportunities to students annually. A win-win situation.
Future employment opportunities will be posted here in the spring of 2019.
