Today, our collection includes almost 9,000 artifacts, each carrying a connection to someone’s home, someone’s journey, someone’s faith, or someone’s resilience. Together, these objects help tell a larger story of Ukrainian identity. This is the quiet power of a museum. It gives cultural memory a place to rest, and a place to speak. It invites visitors to come closer — to see not only what has been preserved, but why it matters.

Kosiv Bazaar • A Living Archive of the Carpathians is an exhibition drawn from the collection of Leonard Krawchuk, inspired by the unique phenomenon of the Hutsul bazaar in Kosiv. A place where – for centuries – craft, community, and the beauty of everyday life have intersected. The Kosiv Bazaar is more than just a market – it is living memory, cultural force, and a space of gathering. We invite you to experience an exhibition where trade becomes culture, and the bazaar becomes a living metaphor for community.
